Tillman Announces Celebrity Draft Results

 Thursday night, teams gearing up for the 5th Annual Meijer Celebrity Football Championship were able to comb over the list of potential Celebrity Quarterbacks they would have to choose from, selecting a play-caller to lead them on the field this Saturday, June 18th, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Lake Zurich High School’s Football Field, located at 300 Church Street in Lake Zurich, IL. In addition to Meijer, Miller Lite, Omni Chicago Hotel, and Navistar Financial are proud sponsors of the Celebrity Football Championship.
Teams participating in this year’s annual Flag Football tournament were invited to participate in a Celebrity Quarterback Online Draft. Teams could review potential Celebrity Quarterback bios, deliberate and draft the celebrity they think we’ll give them the best opportunity to win bragging rights this Saturday.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Charles Tillman Cornerstone Foundation, whose mission is to provide opportunities and resources to children or their families who are in need. Since 2005, Charles Tillman's charitable efforts have impacted the lives of over one million Chicago-area children.

Adding to the on-field action at this Saturday’s Celebrity Football Championship, fans are invited to collect autographs from participating celebrity quarterbacks, visit The Cornerstone Fan Zone and more! The Cornerstone Fan Zone will have lots of games and activities for children of all ages. Youngsters will have a chance to win great prizes such as an iPod Touch and register to participate in on-field activities. Special guests, The Jesse White Tumblers, will perform for the audience at 1:15 p.m. to showcase their skills and high flying talent. This event will have something for everyone!
The day will also feature a Proclamation by the Governor to announce that June 18th will be known as Charles Tillman Family Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness Day. Fans will have the opportunity to gather information about organ and tissue donation and register to be an organ donor in the Fan Zone.
