Tillman Unveils Unique Locker at Loyola University Medical Center
October 13th, 2010

CHICAGO – On September 21st at the Ronald McDonald Children’s Hospital of Loyola University Medical Center, Charles Tillman, cornerback for the Chicago Bears, unveiled a unique locker on behalf of his Cornerstone Foundation.  Presented by Fifth Third Bank, the locker, dubbed “Charles’ Locker,” is designed to enrich the lives of chronically and critically ill children by providing them and their families access to notebook computers, DVD players, gaming systems and other items to help pass the time while undergoing treatment and recovery.

The day began with Tillman assisting patients at Ronald McDonald Children’s Hospital of Loyola University Medical Center with art activities and games.  Soon after, the official unveiling of “Charles’ Locker” allowed children to explore the contents of the new addition, play games and further visit with Tillman.

“Fifth Third Bank is proud to sponsor Charles Tillman’s locker here at the Ronald McDonald House in Maywood,” said Tim Hannahs, Senior Vice President of the Chicago Market.  “We know that when parents and families stay at this house, they are stressed out.  The contents of Charles’ locker are a great way to help them unwind and relax at the end of a tough day.”

“Charles’ Locker” will be placed on the pediatric floor at Ronald McDonald’s Children’s Hospital of Loyola University Medical Center.  This locker is expected to service nearly 36,500 chronically and critically ill children and their families each year.
